Proceedings of May 5

A bench warrant was issued for Faithe Emaleigh Nicole Parins, 21, Pulaski, after she failed to appear in court on charges of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 31.

Proceedings of May 4

Barbara Ann Besiak, 43, Amasa, Michigan, pleaded no contest to possession with intent to deliver amphetamine and a misdemeanor count of possession of THC, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 19. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 15 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Troy Allen Whisman, 18, Abrams, pleaded no contest to felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 11, and misdemeanor battery, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 26. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 12 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

After a preliminary hearing, Virginia M. Huycke, 36, Oconto, was bound over to circuit court on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 1. Arraignment was scheduled for May 19.

Proceedings of May 3

Tristen T. Brunette, 20, Oconto Falls, was sentenced to four years in prison, followed by five years of extended supervision, for second-degree child sex assault, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 8, 2020. He was given credit for 65 days already served in jail. Judge Michael T. Judge ruled that among other conditions of his extended supervision, Brunette may have no contact with anyone under age 18 without his agent’s approval, must enroll and actively participate in sex offender treatment and cognitive thinking programs, obtain a mental health evaluation and follow through with any recommendations.

Jessica N. Miller, 37, Green Bay, was sentenced to three years in prison, followed by three years of extended supervision, for possession with intent to deliver amphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 23. Judge Michael T. Judge ruled that the sentence must be served consecutively to any current sentence. Among terms of the extended supervision, Miller must maintain absolute sobriety; have no contact with her co-defendants or anyone who uses, sells or possesses illegal drugs; comply with her alcohol and other drug abuse assessment and follow through with any treatment recommendations; and complete all programs deemed necessary by her Department of Corrections agent. Judge said she is eligible for the Substance Abuse Program, which can lead to early release if successfully completed.

Joshua M. Waschbisch, 34, Oconto, pleaded no contest to battery by a prisoner, in connection with an incident that occurred March 16, 2021. Judge James A. Morrison placed him on three years’ probation after imposing and staying a prison sentence that would be consecutive to any sentence he is currently serving. Among other conditions of probation, Waschbisch must maintain absolute sobriety and obtain and maintain full-time employment.

Sarah E. Stoneburner, 36, Escanaba, Michigan, pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts of theft by false representation, in connection with incidents that occurred Jan. 11 and Feb. 8, 2019. Three felony charges were dismissed in a plea agreement. Judge Michael T. Judge placed Stoneburner on two years of probation and ordered her to pay restitution and complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by her probation agent.

Dean D. Christl, 34, Beaver, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 26, 2020. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 5 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Morgan A. Butner, 42, Oconto Falls, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of possession of cocaine and operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 20. In a plea agreement, a felony charge was dismissed but read into the record. Judge Michael T. Judge sentenced Butner to 132 days already served in the county jail and assessed fines and fees of $1,125.
James R. Johnson, 33, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to child abuse-recklessly causing harm and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 18. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 16.

Proceedings of May 2

DaShawn Gene Walton, 20, of Gary, Indiana, and formerly Oconto, was placed on two years’ probation for substantial battery intending great bodily harm, in connection with an incident that occurred April 22, 2021. Judge Jay N. Conley included 30 days of jail time during each of the two years. If arrangements can be made, the jail time may be served in Indiana or in another Wisconsin county that is closer to Indiana. Among other probation conditions, Walton must comply with any assessments, counseling or treatment deemed necessary by his probation agent, and Conley said his record may be expunged if Walton successfully completes the sentence. An expungement review hearing was scheduled for May 2, 2024.

Dimitri J. Kiutacheff, 39, Chicago, was placed on two years of probation after a prison sentence was imposed and stayed for possession of narcotic drugs, in connection with an incident that occurred May 6, 2021, and bail jumping, for an Oct. 14 incident. Among other conditions, Judge Jay N. Conley ordered that Kiutacheff serve nine months in the county jail with credit for 204 days already served, undergo an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment and obtain and maintain full-time employment.

Shane J. Schreiber, 41, Shawano, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 3. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 6 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

After a preliminary hearing, Paul M. Fletcher, 42, Green Bay, was bound over for trial and pleaded not guilty to first-degree reckless endangerment, burglary while armed with a dangerous weapon, false imprisonment, and misdemeanor counts of operating a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 12. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 6.

Melissa M. Wolf, 37, Oconto, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to bail jumping, possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC (second and subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 19. A judicial pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 16.
