Proceedings of Sept. 3

A jury trial was scheduled for Feb. 16 for Scott Glen Sorenson, 57, De Pere, who is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), in connection with an Oct. 10, 2019, crash in the town of Stiles. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Feb. 7.

After a preliminary hearing, Robert P. Shampo Jr., 29, Marinette, was bound over to circuit court on charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 9. Arraignment was scheduled for Sept. 16.

Proceedings of Aug. 31

Ronald Hubert Brunette Jr., 52, Green Bay, pleaded no contest to an amended charge of misdemeanor bail jumping and a disorderly conduct ordinance violation, in connection with an incident that occurred July 9. Judge Jay N. Conley assessed fines and court costs totaling $663.50.

Proceedings of Aug. 30

Austin Michael Hartmann, 26, Shawano, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of THC, in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 16, 2020. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 1 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

A March 22-24 jury trial was scheduled for Benjamin W. Buch, 20, Caroline, formerly Oconto Falls, who is charged with operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission, misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and with a passenger, and resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 5, 2019. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Jan. 14.

Shelly Lynn Swanson, 50, Lena, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping, possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, and misdemeanor charges of possession of cocaine, possession of illegal obtained prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 4. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 16.

Bond was set at $5,000 cash for Rafael Elroy Garay, 36, Pound, after he was charged with felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 27. His initial appearance was adjourned until Sept. 16.
Nathaniel Robert McNabb, 21, Oconto, was released on a $5,000 signature bond after he was charged with child abuse recklessly causing harm, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 27. His initial appearance was adjourned until Sept. 16.
