Proceedings of Sept. 15

• Judge Michael T. Judge dismissed charges with prejudice against Joseph V. Wilinski, 72, Little Suamico, who had been charged with 10 counts of third-degree sexual assault in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred between 2015 and 2021. Dismissal with prejudice means the charges may not be refiled. Attorneys said the dismissal was at the victim’s request.

• Jeffrey Thomas Lynn, 57, Little Suamico, was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by three years of extended supervision, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (sixth offense), in connection with a crash that occurred Feb. 11. Judge revoked Lynn’s driver’s license for two years and ordered that ignition interlock devices be placed in his vehicles.

• John Lawrence Belongia, 46, Appleton, pleaded no contest to strangulation-suffocation and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 7, 2021. Judge approved a deferred prosecution agreement on the felony charge. For the misdemeanors, he withheld sentencing and placed Belongia on 18 months of probation with conditions.

• Colton Duwayne Brede, 29, Bonduel, appeared in court after he reportedly violated the terms of a deferred prosecution agreement reached on a charge of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 3, 2019, as well as his probation for misdemeanor convictions from the same incident. Judge Jay N. Conley sentenced him to at least nine months in jail with Huber work-release privileges and gave him permission to serve the time in Shawano County.

• A Feb. 27-29 jury trial was scheduled for David SanRoman, 47, Oconto, who is charged with two counts first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13, two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 12 and one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child, all charging him as a persistent repeater, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred from 2016 to 2020. He also faces two felony bail jumping charges in connection with incidents that allegedly Jan. 17, 2020, and Aug. 24, 2020. Judge scheduled a motion hearing for Dec. 12 and a final pre-trial conference for Jan. 12.

• A March 6-8 jury trial was scheduled for Michael James Kriescher, 44, Abrams, who is charged with the repeated sexual assault of the same child, first-degree child sexual assault and one other related charge. Conley scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Feb. 20.

• A March 21-22 jury trial was scheduled for Joshua Michael Peters, 32, Menominee, Michigan, who faces three counts of battery or threat to a law officer, battery to a nurse, three counts of throwing or discharging bodily fluid at a public safety officer, and misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 16, 2021. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for March 4.

• An Oct. 26-27 jury trial was scheduled for Blaze L. Agen, 60, an inmate at the Oconto County Jail, who is charged with 11 counts of second-degree sexual assault, in connection with assaults that allegedly occurred from 2013 to 2016. Judge scheduled an Oct. 12 status conference to determine if the trial will proceed.

• A March 21-22 jury trial was scheduled for Brody J. Tappa, 37, Oconto, who faces two counts of victim intimidation, child abuse recklessly causing harm, false imprisonment, substantial battery, and misdemeanor counts of battery and theft of movable property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 1, 2020. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for March 4.

Proceedings of Sept. 14

• A Feb. 27-28 jury trial was scheduled for Joseph A. Reignier, 22, Oconto Falls, on charges of child abuse intentionally causing harm, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 28, and strangulation and suffocation, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 22. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Feb. 12.

• Stephanie S. Farvour, 37, Gillett, pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, one count of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 16, 2022. Conley scheduled a pre-trial conference for Oct. 12.

• Carolyn Marie Moore, 45, Appleton, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on a charge of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 26. Judge scheduled arraignment for Oct. 12.

• A Feb. 27 jury trial was scheduled for Shana Lynn Courchaine, 25, Green Bay, in charges of possession of methamphetamine, bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 13. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Feb. 12.

• Jennifer Lynn Clement, 42, Oneida, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 3. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for Oct. 12.

• Kasper Hang, 36, Manitowoc, pleaded not guilty to three counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 9. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for Oct. 12.

• Julie A. Gerow, 59, Appleton, pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to deliver amphetamine or methamphetamine and possession of cocaine (second or subsequent offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 7. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for Oct. 12.

• Bond was set at $1,000 cash for Shane P. Hamlin, 29, Green Bay, after he was charged with possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 4. Conley adjourned his initial appearance until Oct. 12.

• Bond was set at $1,000 cash for Ashley M. Rath, 32, Gillett, after she was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC (second or subsequent) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 4. Conley scheduled a preliminary hearing for Sept. 22.

• A bench warrant was issued for Chelsey Jean Raymond, 31, Oshkosh, after she failed to appear for arraignment on charges of bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle while her license was revoked and violating an ignition interlock order, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 5.

• A bench warrant was issued for Taylor Nicholaus Polar, 35, Green Bay, after he failed to appear on four counts felony bail jumping and misdemeanor operating while revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 22.

Proceedings of Sept. 13

• Steven Edwards Cocorikis, 39, Escanaba, Michigan, pleaded no contest to maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor criminal damage to property, in connection with an incident that occurred May 19, 2022. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 14 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Tyler J. Kleczka, 22, Seymour, pleaded no contest to misappropriating ID information and two misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that occurred May 28. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 15 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Bond was set at $10,000 cash for April M. Westphal, 28, Suring, after she was charged with six counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of child neglect and bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 11. Judge adjourned her initial appearance to Sept. 14, at which time a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 6.

Proceedings of Sept. 12

• Matthew J. Slye, 33, Oconto, was sentenced to three years in prison, followed by three years of extended supervision, for possession of narcotic drugs and possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred May 24, 2022; bail jumping and possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 18, 2022; and possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed weapon in connection with an incident that occurred May 10, 2022. Judge sentenced Slye to an additional nine months in the Oconto County Jail for possession of narcotic drugs and possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred May 8 of this year.

• Laurence P. Reichert, 50, White Lake, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 27. Judge scheduled sentencing for Oct. 24 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Sarah Irene DeBenedetto, 40, Oconto, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 3. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 7 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Bond was set at $5,000 cash for Michael P. Newberry, 45, Gillett, after he was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (fifth or sixth offense), battery or threat to a law officer, and misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of THC, operating while revoked and violating an ignition interlock device order, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 8. Judge adjourned his initial appearance until Sept. 14, at which time a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 21.

Proceedings of Sept. 11

• Jason C. Demerath, 46, Oconto, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred March 13. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 7 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Beth Tara Johnson, 39, Hortonville, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that occurred July 23, 2022. Judge approved a two-year deferred judgment agreement for the felony charge and placed her on one year of probation for the misdemeanor.

• Bond was set at $10,000 cash for Marty M. LaCourt, 34, Oconto, after he was charged with second-degree sexual assault of an intoxicated victim, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 5. His initial appearance was adjourned until Oct. 12.
