No Shawano boys tennis players advance to state

No Shawano Community High School boys tennis singles players or doubles teams advanced to state after competing in the Division 2 Kohler Sectional on June 9 at the Sports Core in Kohler.

Singles players Joe Mente (No. 3) and Carson Cummings (No. 4) each earned second-place finishes on the day, while the No. 2 doubles team of Josh Bergmann and Tristan Szucs placed fourth.

Shawano’s No. 1 doubles team of Rory Johnson and Nolan Buck lost their lone match at sectionals.

Shawano earned 22 points to place fifth as a team.
