No. 1 doubles teams from Shawano, Pulaski advance

Shawano and Pulaski's No. 1 doubles teams each extended their tennis seasons after earning a win at the Division 1 Notre Dame Subsectional on May 22 in Green Bay.

Shawano's George Buerman and Tristan Sheldon earned a victory over Green Bay Preble to move on. They will face off against a duo from Bay Port at the Notre Dame Sectional on May 25.

Pulaski's Eric Sperduto and Jacob Ebent earned a win over Green Bay Southwest to advance. The Red Raider pair will take on a No. 1 doubles team from Notre Dame at the sectional meet.

Shawano's other two doubles teams earned a win at the subsectional before being eliminated after a loss.

At No. 2 doubles, Isaac Welander and Tristan Tetting won over Pulaski's Alex Kouzov and Hector Alcaide Pinedo before falling to Bay Port.

At No. 3 doubles, Andrew Vandenheuvel and Seth Williams picked up a victory over Green Bay Preble before losing to a duo from Notre Dame.

Pulaski's Raymond Johnson and Jeffrey Sanders fell in their lone No. 3 doubles match against Green Bay Southwest.

In singles play, Shawano's Ben Langlois lost against Green Bay Southwest in No. 1 action. Pulaski's Sam Mead was defeated in a match against Bay Port.

Pulaski's Justin Freadrich earned a win at No. 2 singles play against Green Bay East before being eliminated after a loss to Notre Dame. Shawano's Ryan Buerman was topped in his No. 2 singles match against Bay Port.

In No. 3 singles action, Shawano's Cristian Hernandez lost to Green Bay Preble, while Pulaski's Ryan Symons lost against Green Bay Southwest.

Pulaski's Donovan Holderness earned a No. 4 singles win over Shawano's Domenic Badalamenti before losing to Notre Dame.
