A Marion woman was charged Feb. 2 with multiple drug and bail jumping counts following a Jan. 31 arrest in the Town of Grant.

Jennifer L. Schoeppe, 35, was charged with four counts of possession of narcotic drugs, one count of possession of cocaine/coca (second or subsequent offense), one count of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), one count of possession of methamphetamine, 33 counts of bail jumping and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

If convicted, Schoeppe faces fines of up to $10,000 or 3½ years in prison for each count of possession of narcotic drugs and that could be increased up to four years, because she was previously convicted of possession of a controlled substance in Waupaca County in 2011.

She also faces up to $10,000 in fines and 3½ years in prison for each of the counts of possession of cocaine/coca (second or subsequent offense), possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and possession of methamphetamine. For each bail jumping charge, she faces fines of up to $10,000 or six years in prison and for the possession of drug paraphernalia count, she faces of up to $500 or 30 days in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, on Jan. 31 at 6:30 a.m. three Shawano County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to a residence on Trieglaff Road in the Town of Grant for an attempted warrant pickup on Schoeppe. Deputies located Schoeppe in a bedroom in a lower portion of the residence and put her into handcuffs.

From there, Schoeppe allegedly told the deputies that there were drugs in the middle drawer of her night stand. The deputies allegedly found a glass plate with a crystal substance on one end and a powder substance on the other end. The substances on the glass plate tested positive for both fentanyl and methamphetamine. Other items that were found include 0.76 grams of a plant that tested positive for THC, 0.65 grams of cocaine, a glass vial containing 15.89 grams of a liquid that tested positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine and multiple pills, along with various types of drug paraphernalia.

During Schoeppe’s initial appearance in court, Shawano-Menominee County Circuit Court Judge Katherine Sloma set a cash bond of $10,000 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Feb. 8.
