LETTER: Supreme Court race for 2023 all about abortion

To the editor:

In a few weeks, Wisconsin will be choosing a judge to serve on the state Supreme Court. Presently abortion is banned in Wisconsin except to save the life of the mother. Thousands of children are alive today because of the ban.

There are four candidates running for the position, two liberal candidates, Everett Mitchell and Janet Protasiewicz, who “have both signaled they would side with Democrats” (Green Bay Press-Gazette) in their lawsuit to overturn the Wisconsin ban of abortion, and two conservative candidates, Jennifer Dorow and Dan Kelly. The upcoming primary will narrow the field to two. That could be two liberals, two conservatives, or one of each. If a liberal judge is the final choice, abortion will again be legal and the death toll of unborn children will rise again in Wisconsin to 6,000-plus per year for years to come.

This election is all about abortion. There is no other issue. The liberals want to restore the right to kill the unborn.

It is unbelievable that in the 21st century people still believe, and governments still endorse, solving a problem by brutally killing an unborn child.

For every person who believes in the sanctity of life and stays home on election day, the continuation of this barbaric practice will be one step closer to being a reality.
