LaVern G. “Spook” Schultz Jr., of Tigerton, formerly of Menomonee Falls, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by the love of his life of 70 years, Arlene; children, Linda (Earl) Flaskrud, Danny (Mary), Dave (Renda), Kathy (David) Tarantino and Dale; grandchildren, Sara (Elliott) Lunde, Michael (Margaret), Nicholas Steffen, Danielle (Adam) Klimas, Bethany (Phil Robinson), and Andrew (Lauren Collins); great-grandchildren, Addison and Natalie Lunde, Brooklyn Robinson, and Rhett Klimas, plus one expected in August. Further survived by other family and friends.

LaVern proudly served in the United States Army and is a Korean War veteran. He was also blessed to take part in the trip of a lifetime as a Never Forgotten Honor Flight participant.

He was also a proud member of Local 139 Operating Engineers.

He was an avid sportsman. He especially loved fishing and hunting in Canada. He met the love of his life on one of those trips.

Visitation was held at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls. Service and military honors followed. LaVern will be cremated after the service and laid to rest at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon in a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight are appreciated.
