Kevin L. Christensen

Kevin Lee Christensen, 57, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, after a courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. Kevin was born Jan. 10, 1964, in Oconto Falls, the son of Delores (Gilbertson) and the late Vernon Christensen. He grew up in Pulcifer and graduated from Gillett High School in 1982 where he was an active wrestler and football player. Kevin was united in marriage to Joyce M. Bohm in 1986. The couple raised three wonderful children, Allison, Abigail and Walker while living in Seymour. He worked for Carver Boat Corporation for 21 years. Kevin was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Kevin loved to fish, hunt, four-wheel, motorcycle and camp, but most importantly enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed football specifically our ever-favorite Green Bay Packers. Kevin had a special love for NASCAR with Jeff Gordon as his favorite driver. He attended the Michigan, Vegas and Coca-Cola races with his wife. While at these events, the couple had the pleasure of experiencing all the driver shops. He truly loved life and enjoyed the company of many friends.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Joyce Christensen of Bonduel; three children, Allison (Casey) Blohm of Seymour, Abigail (Jordan) Napper of Union Mills, North Carolina, and Walker Christensen of De Pere; his mother, Delores Christensen of Pulaski; and three siblings, Jane (Russell) Herrmann of Ferryville, Todd Christensen of Appleton and Neal (Heidi) Christensen of Pulaski. He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many terrific friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Christensen; brothers, Larry and Allan Christensen; sisters, Debbie Zenk and Gail Christensen, and a nephew Cory Christensen.

A memorial service for Kevin will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 6 p.m. at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 4 p.m. until time of services. Memorials can be directed to Huntington’s Disease Society of America.

Kevin’s family wishes to express a warm thank you and deep appreciation to the staff at Brewster Village and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their personal care during Kevin’s stay. They also greatly appreciate the help given to Kevin so he could attend each daughter’s wedding, this was truly a blessing.
