Hoffmaster picks up bill for Oconto field trips
An Oshkosh-based company, Hoffmaster Group, Inc., has pledged $3,000 in funding to assist in covering the expenses associated with Oconto schools’ educational field trips during the upcoming 2023-24 school year.
This company has a deep-rooted dedication to creating a positive influence in the communities it serves and has opted to extend its support to local schools by offering financial support for educational field trips, according to an Oconto Unified School District press release. This grant is set to promote academic achievement and enhance the educational experiences of students within the district.
By collaborating with the district, Hoffmaster aims to empower students with unique learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, promoting a well-rounded educational experience.
“As part of our desire to support families within our communities, Hoffmaster is proud to partner with our local school districts to fund educational field trips,” said Jenny Terreau, Hoffmaster vice president for finance. “Ensuring all children have the opportunity to participate in meaningful experiences outside of the classroom ties back to Hoffmaster’s core values, and we’re excited to play a part in the fun and learning of their school year.”
Hoffmaster will provide each of the three schools with a $1,000 grant earmarked for supporting field trips, regardless of grade level, but pointed at the greatest need determined by the individual school. These enriching excursions will be thoughtfully integrated with the curriculum, ensuring that each outing serves as a valuable extension of classroom learning, according to the press release.
“We are deeply grateful to Hoffmaster Group, Inc. for their dedication to our community and their investment in the future of our students. These field trips will provide invaluable learning opportunities outside of the classroom, fostering academic growth and personal development,” said Emily Miller, OUSD superintendent. “Such partnerships exemplify the power of collaboration between local businesses and our schools, ultimately enriching the educational experiences of our students.”
