BASEBALL

Shawano 6

Bonduel 0

The Shawano pitching tandem of Aidan Berry and Ashton Henning combined to blank Bonduel in a nonconference clash May 7 in Bonduel.

Berry picked up the win after striking out four batters over five innings. Henning struck out four batters while getting the final six outs.

Berry also drove in two runs on a pair of hits. Zach Erdmann, Jacob Landon and Kaleb Lowney also drove in a run each for the Hawks. Landon scored two runs.

Carson Robaidek, Garrett Engel, Noah Weier and Easton Reinke posted Bonduel's four hits. Mason Bohm took the loss after pitching the first four innings. Weier pitched the final three frames.

Three Lakes/Phelps 12

Marion 1 (6 inn.)

Marion dropped a nonconference matchup against Three Lakes/Phelps on May 7 in Marion.

Jaden Stuhr walked with the bases loaded to scored Marion's lone run. Carter Goke had a hit for the Mustangs.

Andy Faehling took the loss on the mound after pitching the first four innings. Nick Malueg got the final six outs.

SOFTBALL

Witt-Birn 15

Nekoosa 5 (5 inn.)

Wittenberg-Birnamwood rolled to a nonconference victory over Nekoosa May 7 in Nekoosa. Witt-Birn was credited with 14 hits, walked twice and took advantage of nine Nekoosa errors.

Jadalynn Davids had two hits, four RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Chargers at the plate. Paige Kurth drove in three runs.

McKenna Foster tallied three hits and stole three bases, while Emma Herb, McKenna Metropulos and Kaylee Schram all had two hits. Foster, Herb, Abi Fraaza, and Kiara Deruchowski all scored two runs.

Jasmin Duranceau earned the win after pitching all five innings. She struck out one batter while surrendering 10 hits, no walks and three earned runs.

Tigerton 16

Rosholt 3 (5 inn.)

Tigerton improved to 4-0 overall after routing Rosholt in a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover game May 7 in Rosholt. Tigerton used a five-run second inning and 10-run fourth to cruise to victory.

Skyler Hauser drove in three runs for Tigerton, while McKenzie Hoffman had two RBIs. Adrienne Brady, Bethany Jobe, Abby Swartz, Autumn Fredenberg and Maycee Carlson also drove in a run each.

Brady pitched all five innings. She stuck out one batter.

BOYS GOLF

Witt-Birn boys 1st at tri-meet

Witt-Birn posted a team score of 345 to top Antigo (357) and Sheboygan Christian (477) at the Sheboygan Christian Tri-Meet on May 7 at Whistling Straights Golf Course in Sheboygan.

Calvin Scheurer was Witt-Birn's top individual finisher, posting an 18-hole round of 81, edging teammate Ian Resch (82).

Maverick Beran and Brian Nelson each fired 91s, while Nolan Fraaza (95) rounded out the team.
