BASEBALL

Marion 6

Tigerton 5

Koy Brei singled in Alex Zimmerman in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Marion a walk-off win over Tigerton in a Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division contest on May 28 in Tigerton. Marion served as the home team.

Brei finished the contest with three hits and two RBIs, while Zimmerman and Carter Goke had two hits each. Ryan Malueg doubled twice among his three hits.

Goke earned the win after getting the final five outs. Jaden Stuhr started the game and struck out 11 batters over 5 1/3 innings.

Asher Michaelis drove in two runs on two hits for Tigerton, while Kaeden Miller led the team with three hits. Isaac Schoen started the game before Mitch Zimdars came on in relief. Zimdars was dealt the loss.

SOFTBALL

Tigerton 11

Marion 7

Tigerton scored five runs between the fifth and sixth innings to overtake Marion and claim a CWC-North clash on May 28 in Tigerton.

Skyler Hauser reached base in five of her six plate appearances and scored three runs for Tigerton. She also pitched all seven innings to earn the win in the circle.

Abby Swartz and Savannah Swartz each scored two runs for the Tigers. McKenzie Hoffman and Savannah Swartz drove in two runs each.

Morgan Schwartz and Ashley Fischer drove in two runs each for Marion. Schwartz took the loss in the circle.
