SOFTBALL

Bowler 21

Menominee Indian 6 (3 inn.)

Bowler toppled Menominee Indian in a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover matchup on May 22 in Keshena. Bowler scored 11 runs in the first inning and seven times in the third.

Tynea Johnson homered among her three hits, drove in two runs and scored four times to lead Bowler. Morgan Paiser posted two hits and five RBIs while scoring twice. Bertina Dodge drove in three runs, while Weengetah Mohawk, Abigail Chamberlain, Shianne Pike and Dodge all scored three runs.

McKayla Putnam earned the win in the circle, striking out three batters over three innings.

Aniya Peters was dealt the loss, while Selena O'Kimosh and Alexis Wilber also pitched for Menominee Indian. Simone Perez drove in three runs, while Wilber scored two runs.

Shawano splits doubleheader with Menasha

Shawano split a doubleheader with Bay Conference foe Menasha on May 22 in Shawano.

Shawano claimed game one by a 9-5 final. Hatty Fritz posted three hits and four RBIs to lead the way at the plate for the Hawks. Margo Gull and Brianna Wright each added two hits.

Taylor Johnson picked up the win after pitching the first five innings. Braylyn Babino worked the rest of the contest to earn the save.

Shawano dropped game two by a 10-0 final in six innings. The Hawks only had five hits, while committing four errors. Fritz took the loss in the circle.

BASEBALL

Bonduel wins pair of games

Bonduel earned wins over Rosholt (7-2) and Manawa (10-9) during games on May 22 in Rosholt.

Noah Weier earned the win on the mound in the win over Rosholt, striking out five over 5 2/3 innings. Brodie Hartman was the winning pitcher against Manawa after pitching 2 2/3 innings.

Against Rosholt, Carson Robaidek tallied three hits, three runs and four stolen bases to lead the Bears offensively. Jack Johnson added two RBIs on three hits.

Against Manawa, a game that went eight innings, Charlie Tauchen drew a bases-loaded walk to plate the game-winning run. Easton Reinke had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three runs. Brett Margelofsky doubled among his two hits, while Garrett Engel homered among his two hits. Cole Anderson drove in three runs and doubled in the contest.
