SOFTBALL

Bonduel 10

Menominee Indian 0 (5 inn.)

Bonduel used a pair of five-run innings to take down Menominee Indian in a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division matchup May 20 in Bonduel.

Bonduel's Abby Stoltenow ended the contest with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the fifth. Stoltenow, Ella Hischke, Julia Lorbiecki, Claire Gehm and Nicole Koeller all reached base twice for the Bears. Nakiyah Henning reached base in all three of her plate appearances.

Gehm earned the win after striking out seven batters over five innings. She allowed just two hits and one walk.

Selena O'Kimosh and Alexis Wilber had Menominee Indian's hits. Aniya Peters took the loss in the circle after pitching the entire game.

Bowler sweeps Marion

Bowler earned 9-1 and 15-1 wins over CWC-North foe Marion on May 20 in Marion.

In the 9-1 win, Bowler's Tynea Johnson and Bertina Dodge drove in two runs each, while Johnson and Tia Kroening scored two runs each. McKayla Putnam earned the win after striking out eight batters across five innings.

Bowler used a 14-run third inning to ease to the 15-1 win in game two. Johnson homered, drove in four runs and scored twice for the Panthers, while Brandi Spencer had three RBIs and Morgan Paiser and Bailey Grosskopf two each. Putnam earned the win after striking out six batters in three innings, while Shianne Pike worked the final frame.

Shawano 9

Mishicot 5

Shawano rallied past Mishicot in a nonconference clash May 20 in Mishicot.

Trailing 5-4 in the fourth, Margo Gull and Isabel Daniel each singled for the Hawks. Elizabeth Kary then belted a three-run homer to put Shawano in front for good.

Hatty Fritz added two hits for Shawano.

Taylor Johnson picked up the win after pitching the first four innings. Braylyn Babino earned the save after working the final three frames.

BASEBALL

Shawano 9

New London 6

A seven-run fifth inning helped Shawano rally past New London in a Bay Conference battle on May 20 in Shawano.

Zac Jurmu drove in three runs to lead Shawano at the plate. Ashton Henning had three hits, while Aidan Berry and Kaleb Lowney had two hits each. Berry scored two runs.

Brandon Bushy earned the win after allowing two runs over the final three innings. Andrew Popp pitched the first four innings for the Hawks.

Tigerton 2

Gresham 1

Tigerton earned a walk-off win over Gresham in CWC-North action May 20 in Tigerton.

Colby Wanta had two hits and a RBI for Tigerton. Kaeden Miller and Justin Knaup also had two hits for the Tigers.

Mitch Zimdars earned the win on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings.

Lukas Pecore had a pair of hits to lead Gresham.

Marion 6

Bowler 5 (8 inn.)

Alex Zimmerman delivered the game-winning hit to give Marion a CWC-North win over Bowler on May 20 in Marion.

Jaden Stuhr drove in three runs on two hits for Marion, while Koy Brei, Ethan Scheef, Myles Peterson and Jack Van Kooy all chipped in two hits.

Carter Goke earned the win after pitching the final two innings. Stuhr struck out 13 batters across the first six innings.

Brock Strassburg had two hits and two RBIs for Bowler, while Adin Brei added two hits. Logan Thiex took the no decision after striking out seven batters over four innings. Lane Schultz was dealt the loss after striking out five batters while pitching the rest of the contest.

Bonduel 8

Menominee Indian 3

Bonduel scored six runs between the fourth and sixth innings to take down Menominee Indian in CWC-East action May 20 in Bonduel.

Garrett Engel posted four hits, including two doubles and a home run, while driving in three runs for Bonduel.

Cole Anderson earned the win after striking out 11 batters over 6 1/3 innings.

Lloyd Reevis, George Bruette Jr. and Andre Corn all had two hits for Menominee Indian. Josh Besaw was dealt the loss after pitching the first five innings.

Xavier 11

Shawano 1

Shawano dropped a Bay match to Xavier on May 20 in Appleton.

Kaylee Rindt scored Shawano's goal in the 50th minute off an assist from Anne Carrier.

Brynlie Boyles made 25 saves while defending the net for Shawano.
