BASEBALL

Shawano 15

Oconto 1 (5 inn.)

Shawano scored at least two runs in all four innings it batted during a convincing nonconference win over Oconto on June 7 in Shawano.

Carson Popp drove in four runs on two hits, while Braedyn Kowalkowski had three RBIs on three hits for Shawano. Andrew Popp also drove in three runs.

Kaleb Lowney tallied two hits and scored twice for the Hawks. Zac Jurmu scored three runs, while Popp, Kowalkowski and Aidan Berry scored twice each.

Brandan Bushy earned the win after striking out five batters over four scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and three walks. Zach Erdmann pitched the fifth inning.

Bowler 10

Port Edwards 7

Bowler rallied past Port Edwards in a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover matchup June 7 in Port Edwards. The Panthers scored nine of their 10 runs after the third inning.

Lane Schultz led Bowler at the plate with three hits and three RBIs. Danian Schultz drove in a pair.

Brock Strassburg and Ashwuut Mohawk each had two hits for the Panthers, while Wylee Dodge and Mohawk scored two runs each.

Beau Brunner pitched the first three innings, allowing six runs on three hits and four walks. Logan Thiex tossed the last four frames to earn the win, surrendering a run on a hit and two walks.

Amherst 5

Bonduel 1

Bonduel suffered its third CWC-East loss of the season after falling to Amherst on June 7 in Amherst.

The Bears were held to four hits in the contest. Amherst scored all five runs between the fourth and fifth innings after Bonduel had grabbed the lead with a run in the third.

Mason Bohm took the loss after pitching four innings for Bonduel. He struck out three batters. Cole Anderson also pitched.

Carson Robaidek drove in Bonduel's run. Noah Weier had two hits for the Bears.
