BASEBALL

Bowler 6

Tigerton 0

Bowler scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to break open a tight Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division clash with Tigerton on June 3 in Tigerton.

Logan Thiex pitched a gem to lead Bowler to victory, surrendering just four hits and two walks. He struck out four batters.

Lane Schultz, Brock Strassburg, Wylee Dodge, Tully Kroening and Sterling Schreiber III all drove in a run for the Panthers. Ashwuut Mohawk led the team with three hits, while Strassburg had two.

Mitch Zimdars posted two hits for Tigerton in the loss. He also pitched the first four innings, allowing one run on five hits. Colby Wanta and Asher Michaelis also pitched in the contest.

Marion 4

Manawa 1

Marion knocked off Manawa behind a strong start from Jaden Stuhr in CWC-North action June 3 in Marion.

Stuhr pitched all seven innings, striking out 16 batters while allowing just two hits and one walk. At the plate, he had a hit, two walks and a RBI.

Alex Zimmerman reached base four times for Marion, tallying two hits and drawing two walks. He also drove in a run. Nick Malueg had a hit and also walked.

SOFTBALL

Bowler 12

Tigerton 10

Bowler scored seven runs over the last two innings to steal a CWC-North win against Tigerton on June 3 in Tigerton.

Morgan Paiser drove in four runs on two hits to lead Bowler at the plate, while Bertina Dodge had three RBIs on two hits and also scored twice. Tynea Johnson scored four runs and posted three hits, while Tia Kroening and Abigayl Chamberlain scored two runs each.

McKayla Putnam pitched all seven innings to earn the win in the circle. She struck out eight batters.

McKenzie Hoffman drove in two runs on two hits for Tigerton, while Adrienne Brady also drove in a pair. Brady pitched 3 2/3 innings, striking out four batters along the way. Skyler Hauser worked 3 1/3 innings.

Shawano sweeps Green Bay United

Shawano earned 12-0 and 8-2 victories over Bay Conference foe Green Bay United on June 3 in Shawano.

The 12-0 game finished in five innings, with Shawano scoring nine runs in the bottom of the first inning to take control. Elizabeth Kary drove in five runs to power Shawano's offense, while Brianna Wright added three RBIs. Margo Gull scored three runs.

Taylor Johnson pitched all five innings to earn the win in the circle. She allowed just one hit and one walk.

Braylyn Babino earned the win in the 8-2 win, striking out five batters along the way. Shawano broke open a tight game with three-run third and sixth innings.

Green Bay East 1

Shawano picked up a Bay win in a weather-shortened match June 3 in Green Bay.

In non-forfeited action, Leo Liu (No. 2), Joe Mente (No. 3) and Carson Cummings (No. 4) all earned singles wins for Shawano.

GIRLS SOCCER

Shawano 7

Green Bay East/West 2

Shawano earned a home Bay win over Green Bay East/West on senior night June 3. The Hawks recognized Isabel Colon and Judith Llobera.

Kaylee Rindt scored four goals to lead Shawano, while Colon scored twice and Caitlyn Moede once.

Anne Carrier and Abigail Rabideau were each credited with assists for the Hawks. Brynlie Boyles made seven saves while guarding the net.
