BASEBALL

Bowler 5

Tigerton 2

Second-seeded Bowler scored two runs in the fifth and sixth innings to rally past third-seeded Tigerton in a Division 4 regional semifinal on June 15 in Bowler.
Logan Thiex and Adin Brei drove in two runs each for Bowler, while Lane Schultz scored two runs. Schultz also stole three bases.

Schultz picked up the win on the mound after pitching all seven innings. He struck out four batters while surrendering four hits and a walk.

Mitch Zimdars took the loss, but struck out nine batters across 5⅔ innings. Asher Michaelis drove in both of Tigerton's runs, plating Isaac Schoen and Zimdars.

Shawano 4

Clintonville 1

Top-seeded Shawano used a three-run sixth inning to take down fourth-seeded Clintonville in a Division 2 regional semifinal on June 15 in Shawano.

The Hawks will host second-seeded Rhinelander in a regional final on June 16.

Braedyn Kowalkowski had a pinch-hit RBI single in the sixth to break a tie game before Carson Popp drove in another run on a single. Andrew Popp drove in the team's first run in the third. Andrew Popp and Jacob Landon had two hits each in the contest.

Ashton Henning picked up the win after tossing two scoreless innings. He struck out three batters. Andrew Popp worked the first five innings, striking out nine along the way.

St. Mary Catholic 4

Bonduel 3

Third-seeded Bonduel was unable to hang on to a three-run lead during a Division 3 regional semifinal loss to second-seeded St. Mary Catholic on June 15 in Neenah. SMC will take on top-seeded Amherst in a regional final June 16 in Amherst.

Bonduel scored twice in the first inning and then a run in the fourth to go ahead 3-0. SMC scored two runs in the fifth and sixth innings to surge ahead. The Bears stranded 11 runners on base in the contest.

Brett Margelofsky led Bonduel with three hits, one of which was a triple. Jack Johnson and Carson Robaidek each doubled among their two hits.

Johnson took the loss after pitching the final 1⅔ innings. Mason Bohm started and worked the first 5⅓ innings.

Amherst 6

Witt-Birn 0

Fourth-seeded Wittenberg-Birnamwood tallied seven hits but was unable to push any runs across in a Division 3 regional semifinal loss to top-seeded Amherst on June 15 in Amherst.

Amherst scored once in the second inning before tallying its final five runs in the third.

Ian Salvesen and Mason Meverden each tallied two hits for Witt-Birn, while Max Fraaza had a hit and drew two walks. All of the team's hits were singles.

Austin Worzalla was dealt the loss after pitching the first two innings. Austin Rekow pitched the final four innings, not allowing a run and striking out two batters along the way.

Reedsville 4

Marion 2

Third-seeded Marion was doubled up by second-seeded Reedsville during a Division 4 regional semifinal game June 15 in Reedsville.

Reedsville will battle top-seeded Shiocton in a regional final on June 16.

Three Lakes/Phelps 14

Gresham 1 (5 inn.)

Fourth-seeded Gresham couldn't slow top-seeded Three Lakes/Phelps during a Division 4 regional semifinal matchup June 15 in Three Lakes.

Three Lakes/Phelps will host Bowler on June 16 in a regional final.
