GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lena 42

Suring 36

Lena rallied from a four-point halftime deficit and took down Suring in a Marinette & Oconto Conference clash on Jan. 23 in Lena.

Kali Fischer made three 3-pointers and led Lena with 11 points. Eva Brooks added 10 points, while Claire Brooks and Whitney Potter had nine points each.

Lena shot 29 free throws in the contest, making 16. Suring converted seven of its 13 free throws.

Mackenzie Bailey tallied 14 points, 13 rebounds and three steals for Suring. Christine Sleeter contributed nine points, eight boards and three steals, while Bunny Cramer and Emma Kristof had three assists each.

Bonduel 57

Auburndale 53

Bonduel held off Auburndale in a nonconference battle on Jan. 23 in Auburndale.

Hailey Zernicke powered Bonduel with 25 points. She also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Ella Hischke and Hailee Thompson each scored 12 points for the Bears. Hischke dished out four assists, while Audrey Weier grabbed 10 boards.

Antigo knocked off Waupaca in a Great Northern Conference matchup on Jan. 23 in Waupaca.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood's Owen Dickman, who plays for Antigo, scored a goal and assisted on another to help the Red Robins prevail.
