GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lena 58

Oneida Nation 52

Lena held off Oneida Nation in a Marinette & Oconto Conference clash on Feb. 3 in Lena.

The Wildcats led 19-9 at halftime. The second half saw the teams combine to shoot 48 free throws. Lena converted 21 of its 38 attempts in the game, while Oneida Nation made 12 out of 21 attempts.

Eva Brooks powered Lena with 25 points, with nine coming on free throws. Whitney Potter made seven free throws and had 17 points.

Claire Brooks chipped in 10 points for Lena.

New London 63

Shawano 50

Shawano dropped a Bay Conference game to New London on Feb. 3 in New London.

Leah Nordin scored 26 points for Shawano, while Ella Stuber chipped in nine points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 71

Manawa 67

Wittenberg-Birnamwood picked up a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division road win over Manawa on Feb. 3 in Manawa.

Michael Miller hit four 3-pointers and scored 24 points for Witt-Birn. Jett Rogowski tallied 10 points.

Ian Salvesen hit three triples to score nine points for the Chargers. Craig Wendel chipped in eight points, while Mason Meverden had six.

Shiocton 78

Bonduel 62

Bonduel fell to Shiocton in a CWC-East game on Feb. 3 in Bonduel.

Noah Weier scored 20 points to lead Bonduel offensively.

Cade Johnson added nine points for the Bears, while Colin Margelofsky and Charlie Tauchen had eight each. Ryan Westrich had seven points.

Xavier 74

Shawano 64

Shawano was outscored 10-0 over the final three-plus minutes in a Bay Conference loss to Xavier on Feb. 3 in Shawano.

Logan Sipple scored 21 points off the bench to lead Shawano. Michael Metcalf-Grassman added 14 points.

Jacob Landon and Luke Guenther each tallied eight points for Shawano, while Brandon Reed had seven and Julian Perez six.

Northland Lutheran 57

Tigerton 51

Tigerton wasn't able to hold on to a three-point halftime lead during a CWC-North clash against Northland Lutheran on Feb. 3 in Kronenwetter.

Ryder Graham tallied 14 points, six rebounds and three steals for Tigerton. Colby Wanta added 10 points and six assists.

Joey Zimdars tallied eight points for the Tigers, while Asher Michaelis had six points and four assists.
