Diane Lynn Wisner

Diane Lynn Wisner, nee Rades, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2019. She was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Shawano to the late Elmer and Beatrice (Wilt) Rades. Diane attended Shawano schools and was a member of the Class of 1960. Diane was the mother to sons David, Matt, Nick and Jay, and as such was so very loving, patient and giving. After having moved to Texas with her family in 1983, Diane would become the grandmother to Jordan and William (Matt) and Jalen and Avary (Nick).

Diane’s love of music and singing manifested in many ways throughout her life. “Händel’s Messiah,” and specifically the Hallelujah Chorus, was one of her favorites, as was the church hymn, “We Are Many Parts.” Diane’s faith was catholic (little c) and inclusive. She saw life in shades of gray, not black and white. She rejected rigid belief systems that separate people into “saved” and “damned.” She believed in second chances. Diane’s wishes were that her sons scatter her ashes as they saw fit. Diane was the best mom you could want.
