Dairyland League Highlights (Aug. 19)

Bonduel 3

Cecil 2 (11 inn.)

Third-seeded Bonduel earned a walk-off win over sixth-seeded Cecil on Aug. 14 in Bonduel. Chase Reinke singled in Hunter Van Der Linden for the game-winning run.

Reinke also pitched all 11 innings to pick up the win on the mound. He struck out eight batters while throwing 157 pitches. Tucker Bouche was dealt the loss on the hill after taking over for Isaac Boldt, who pitched nine innings.

Reinke finished his day at the plate with two RBIs on two hits. Adam Frost also had two hits.

Noah Beilfuss tallied three of Cecil’s 10 hits and drove in a run. Jake Sager added two hits and the other RBI. Grant Bouche also recorded two hits.

Pulaski 9

Shawano 1

Fourth-seeded Pulaski took down fifth-seeded Shawano on Aug. 14 in Pulaski.

Drew McDermid earned the win on the mound for Pulaski, tossing six shutout innings. Joe Vandehei and Cody Pangrazzi also pitched for the Reds.

Jack Maastricht tallied four of Pulaski’s 11 hits on the day, including two doubles.

Brandan Bushy was tagged with the loss on the mound.

Hortonville 19

Nichols 2

Second-seeded Hortonville rolled to a lopsided win over seventh-seeded Nichols on Aug. 14 in Nichols. Hortonville finished with 18 hits in the contest.

Will Salaman homered among his three hits and drove in five runs for Hortonville. Kyle Stuewer tallied four RBIs on three hits, while Brett Kramer and Tommy Dugandzic each drove in two runs on two hits. Kole Ellenbecker also had two hits for the Stars.

Mason Thiel earned the win on the hill after working four innings. Colan Treml and Scott Gorsuch also pitched for the Stars.

Nichols was limited to four hits.

Waupaca 10

Hofa Park 2

Top-seeded Waupaca took down eighth-seeded Hofa Park on Aug. 14 in Waupaca.
