• Michael W. Hechler, 59, Spencer, was charged June 6 with one count of operating while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense). Judge William F. Kussel Jr. set a cash bond of $4,000 and scheduled a status conference for July 20.

• Melissa S. Beechner, 40, Shawano, was charged June 6 with one count of possession of methamphetamine, one count of possession of narcotic drugs, six counts of bail jumping, two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of use or possession of a masking agent with intent to use. Kussel set a cash bond of $2,000 and scheduled a status conference for June 15.

• Frank W. Thomas, 45, Shawano, was charged June 6 with one count of possession of methamphetamine, one count of possession of narcotic drugs and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Kussel set a cash bond of $500 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for June 9.

• Jeremy D. Stewart, 34, Kenosha, was charged June 6 with one count of possession of heroin (greater than 10-50 grams) with intent, one count of operating a vehicle to flee/elude an officer, one count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place. Kussel set a cash bond of $50,000 and scheduled a status conference for June 21.

• Gary T. Baxter, 32, Kenosha, was charged June 6 with one count of possession of heroin (greater than 10-50 grams) with intent, one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place. Kussel set a cash bond of $40,000 and scheduled a status conference for June 22.

• Darwin A. Mahkimetas, 46, Shawano, pleaded no contest June 7 to one count of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense). One misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed but read into the record. Kussel sentenced Mahkimetas to 10 days in jail.

• Talisha C. Penas-Kaquatosh, 19, Milwaukee, pleaded guilty June 7 to one count of substantial battery. One count of child abuse and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct were dismissed but read into the record. Kussel sentenced Penas-Kaquatosh to four months in jail and three years of probation.

• Cheyenne D. Johnson, 42, Neopit, pleaded no contest July 7 to one count of misappropriating identification information. Sloma sentenced Johnson to six months in jail and two years of probation.

• Jessica A. Zepeda, 37, Appleton, was charged June 8 with one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Kussel set a signature bond of $1,500 and scheduled a status conference for Aug. 3.

• Ashley P. Phalen, 21, Suring, was charged June 10 with one count of possession of methamphetamine. Judge Katherine Sloma set a signature bond of $2,500 and scheduled a status conference for July 19.

• Liomar R. Gonzalez Mercedes, 25, Shawano, was charged June 10 with one count of substantial battery and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Kussel set a signature bond of $2,500 and scheduled a status conference for July 7.

• Jaime R. Jimenez Miguel, 22, Shawano, was charged June 10 with one count of substantial battery and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Kussel set a signature bond of $2,500 and scheduled a status conference for July 7.

• Sayan G. Santana Santana, 20, Shawano, was charged June 10 with one count of substantial battery and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Kussel set a signature bond of $2,500 and scheduled a status conference for July 7.

• Leanna J. Granquist, 31, Gresham, was charged June 10 with one count of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Kussel set a signature bond of $1,000 and scheduled a status conference for Aug. 9.

• Ammie L. Munoz, 52, Gresham, was charged June 10 with four counts of bail jumping, one misdemeanor count of operating while revoked and one misdemeanor count of bail jumping. Kussel set a signature bond of $4,000 and a cash bond of $1,000. He also set a resumed initial appearance for July 27.

• Charges against Michael J. Sherman, 46, address unknown, were dismissed June 10 before an initial appearance. That charge includes one count of sex registry violation.

• Katey S. Schmirler, 25, Manitowoc, pleaded no contest June 10 to one count of possession of amphetamine (greater than 10-50 grams), with intent, three counts of bail jumping and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. One count of bail jumping, one misdemeanor count of possession of THC and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record. Sloma sentenced Schmirler to nine months in jail and five years of probation.
