Georgia Tech

Helen Treankler of Sobieski has earned a master of science degree in biomedical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Treankler was among more than 5,700 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented degrees during the institute’s 266th commencement exercises in May.

University of Iowa

In May, more than 6,500 University of Iowa (Iowa City, Iowa) students received their degrees, a group that included Lauren Nowinsky of Hatley.

Nowinsky was a student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences whose academic program of study was neuroscience. The degree awarded Nowinsky was a bachelor of science.

Saint Mary’s University

Named to the 2024 spring semester dean’s list at St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota, were Peyton Buerman and Elaine Buerman-Raatz, both of Shawano.

To be named to the dean’s list, undergraduate students must earn at least a 3.6 GPA.

Carthage College

Carthage College student Aubree Bucheger from Oconto graduated cum laude in May with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing and management.
