Wittenberg-Birnamwood defeated Clintonville 5-4 in WIAA regional action.
Almond-Bancroft 10, Tigerton 0
Tigerton’s softball season ended with a 10-0 loss to Almond-Bancroft in WIAA regional action.
The Tigers were seeded No. 7, and their hosts were No. 2.
Almond-Bancroft scored once in the first and third innings and then blew the game wide open with eight runs in the fourth inning.
Tigerton batters didn’t record a single hit.
Danika Tiller took the loss on the mound, giving up eight hits and 10 runs (five earned) in four innings. She walked one batter.
Tigerton was the Central Wisconsin North Conference champion with a 14-2 mark. They were 15-9 overall.
Niagara 5, Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy 4
A one-run difference ended the Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy softball season.
The No. 7 seed lost 5-4 to the No. 2 seed Niagara in WIAA regional action.
The Wildcats finished the year at 2-8 in the Marinette & Oconto Conference and 4-16 overall.
