Bonduel girls take first at Rosholt Invite
Daniel Augustine placed 12th in 16:48.9 to lead the Pulaski boys cross-country team at the Red Raiders Invite on Sept. 28.
He was joined by Parker Marshall, Dayne Nowak, Arden Gillen and Peyton Yaw as the team’s top five runners. Thomas Murphy and Dayne Groth also competed.
Pulaski placed fourth as a team, with Shawano in fifth and Gillett in 13th.
Will Chelberg place third in 15:50, and Ethan Onesti was fourth in 16:01.5 to lead Shawano.
Other top five runners were Andon Chelberg, Josiah Kuehl and Trevor Schwartz. Quinn Olson and Connor Chelberg also competed.
Gillett was led by Bradyn Wendorff in 14th place in 16:50.6. Also running were Scott Herroux, Nash Stage, Ben Peterson and Zander Davis.
For the girls, Shawano placed third. Pulaski and Gillett runners competed but did not field a full squad.
For the Hawks, Bailey Hendricks placed ninth in 19:33.9, Grace Chelberg was 11th in 19:35.9 and Lilly Guenther placed 14th in 19:46.8.
Maci Beyer placed 28th, and Adalyn Barkley was 33rd. Also running were Anabelle Schroeder and Lauren Harkey.
Pulaski’s Olivia Stedl placed 25th.
Gillett’s Hope Soper placed 44th, Sophia Limberg was 80th, Lily Hansen was 86th and Maggie Kaczmarek placed 92nd.
Rosholt Invite
Bonduel’s girls cross-country team finished in first place with 46 points and all top five girls medaled at the Rosholt Invite on Sept. 28.
The Bonduel boys finished in sixth place with two runners earning medals.
Mariah Wondra placed sixth in 20:16.46, followed by Teagen Engel in eighth in 20:44.13, Ashlyn Kurey in 10th in 21:02.59, Joselyn Bohm in 15th in 21:42.54 and Cierra Schnell in 19th in 22:11.27. Taylor Rank, Hailey Berg and Seidy Blandon also competed.
For the boys, it was Ben O’Brien in fifth in 16:56.72 and Race Anvelink in 30th in 18:47.8. Also running were Gage Anderson, Griffin Uelmen, Ben Reisner, Joah Dworniczak and Garrett Anderson.
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood boys and girls each finished in fifth place.
The girls were led by Nora Bushman in fourth in 19:47.69, Rory Salveson in seventh in 20:36.45 and Gabrielle Timm in 11th in 28:56.81. Also competing were Amelia Bessert and Ava Hegewald.
Running for the boys were Jonas Bushman, Hayden Miller, Milo Salveson, Joey Seegmiller, Taras Guk, Carson Meronk and Marty Nowinsky.
Ryan Corn led the Menominee Indian boys with a 16th-place finish in 17:46.68. Julius Kaquatosh placed 28th, and Barron Waupoose was 33rd.
Urijah Reevis was the only girl running, and she placed 23rd in 23:25.59.
Marion’s male runners included Jesse Trebus, Tristan Herro and Adam Liethen. Competing for the girls were Bella Conover and Bridget Much.
Reedsville Invitational
Oconto Falls High School competed at the Reedsville Invitational on Sept. 28.
Oconto Falls girls were first in their division and first overall. The boys were third in their division and third overall. Oconto Falls was also the combined team champion.
Ben Adams won the race with a blistering time of 16:07, while Brooke Hodkiewicz was third in the girls race with her personal best time of 19:47.
Merrill Invite
Four Bonduel boys finished in the top six including Ben O’Brien’s first-place finish at the Merrill Cross-Country Invite on Sept. 26.
O’Brien, a senior, won in 17:15. Oliver Chitwood placed third in 19:21, with Griffin Uelmen in fifth win 20:04 and Gage Anderson in sixth in 20:21.
Ben Reisner had a time of 21:02, which put him in ninth place.
Joah Dworniczak was 12th, Garrett Anderson was 13th, Garrett Klosterman placed 17th, Dylan Keller placed 18th, Keaton Bahr finished in 20th and Nathaniel Delcore was 21st.
Gresham-Bowler’s Bryson Nelson finished in fourth place in 19:28. Kobe Miller placed 19th.
The Bonduel boys team won, with Merrill in second. Gresham-Bowler did not field a complete team.
Bonduel also won the girls meet, with runners taking the top five spots and seven out of the top 10.
Mariah Wondra placed first in 20:30, followed by Teagan Engel in second in 21:10, Ashlyn Kurey in third in 22:01, Joselyn Bohm in fourth in 22:27 and Cierra Schnell in fifth in 23:20.
Hailey Berg placed seventh in 24:57, and Taylor Rank was eighth in 25:10.
Seidy Blandon ran to an 11th-place finish.
Rosholt ‘Trebs’ Invite
Ben O’Brien led the Bonduel boys cross country team and Dayne Nowak led Pulaski at the Rosholt “Trebs” Invite on Sept. 23.
O’Brien placed seventh in 16:49, while Nowak was 13th in 17:19.
Pulaski’s Daniel Augustine placed 15th in 17:20, and teammate Parker Marshall was 16th in 17:26. Arden Gillen finished in 33rd place, Peyton Yaw was 46th, Dayne Groth was 72nd and Thomas Murphy was 88th.
Bonduel’s Oliver Chitwood placed 73rd, Griffin Uelmen was 91st, Gage Anderson was 95th, Joah Dworniczak was 101st, Ben Reisner placed 104th and Garrett Anderson was 113th.
For the girls, Bonduel’s Mariah Wondra was 15th in 20:02. Teagan Engel was 40th, Joselyn Bohm placed 57th, Ashlyn Kurey was 61st, Cierra Schnell finished in 80th, Taylor Rank was 110th and Seidy Blandon was 117th.
Mishicot Invite
Oconto Falls’ Ben Adams placed second among all boys in the large school cross-country category at the Jim Bremser Invitational in Mishicot on Sept. 21. He completed the course in 16:31.56, about 20 seconds behind the winner.
Teammates Griffin Kopke placed 26th, Brant Laluzerne was 33rd, Isaiah Holtz finished in 54th, Emerson Rice was 70th, Sage Mendolla was 73rd and Landon Timm was 76th.
The team placed sixth out of 14 teams.
Brooke Hodkiewicz led the girls team with an 11th-place finish in 20:36.95. Hailey Delzer had a time of 21:49.52, good enough for 24th place.
Other Panthers competing were Emma Meissner in 32nd, Hannah Ludemann in 35th, Ava Hodkiewicz in 45th, Maddy Przybylski in 52nd and Mackenzie Lotto in 57th.
The team placed fifth out of 15.
