Bonduel cleaning up village in October, November

The village of Bonduel has announced its annual fall cleanup event.

Leaf collection will begin Oct. 15 and end Nov. 22. Collection days are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the time period. Weather conditions, quantity of leaves and work priorities will dictate when each location will be serviced. Leaf collection is free and open to all village residents.

To participate in the program, residents should place their leaves in a curbside pile. Leaves should be placed in piles no further than 3 feet from the curb. Residents should also avoid placing leaf piles within 3 feet of a mailbox, fire hydrant or power pole. Leaves should not be placed in the street.

All leaf piles should be free of foreign material or debris. Branches should not be included in leaf piles, Grass and branches can be dropped off at the recycling center anytime, as the yard waste and brush area is open 24-7.

On Oct. 22, the village will pick up large items curbside. Residents within the village can discard oversized items that do not fit into garbage containers by putting them on the curb by 7 a.m. Most items will be picked up for free, but there is a charge for electronic and appliance items. Fees for electronic and appliance items can be paid at Village Hall before Oct. 22.
