Benjamin Lee Rindt

Benjamin Lee Rindt, of Shawano, died peacefully on Sept. 15, 2023. He was born on Sept. 12, 1932, to Edwin and Esther (Braun) Rindt in Clintonville.

Ben was a graduate of Clintonville High School, Class of 1950. Along with working on the family farms in the Town of Pella, he was employed at FWD (Seagrave) for 39 years in Clintonville. Ben met his soul mate, Bette Suehring, at the Caroline Ballroom in 1955. They were married Dec. 22, 1956, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant.

Ben enjoyed polka music, dancing, golfing, playing sheepshead and reading. He was an avid fan of the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, Shawano Hawks and the Packers, where he had season tickets for many years. Along with Bette, he was in attendance at the Ice Bowl in 1967. Ben was a member of St. James Lutheran Church where he was involved with various projects in his younger days.

Ben is survived by his wife of 66 years; daughters, Julie Rindt, of Shawano, and Jodie Rindt, of Milton; granddaughter, Britney Wagner, of Janesville; grandson, Gifford Wagner, of Milton; sisters-in-law, Bea Moede, of Shawano, and Doris Beiersdorf, of Milwaukee; cousins and friends.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A memorial service will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Vicar David Kaiser officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
