Oconto Falls senior uses baseball as tuneup for collegiate football career

The Oconto Falls High School baseball team recently wrapped up its spring season, marking the end of the career for several seniors. Adam Haines was one of those seniors, but he still has athletics to look forward to in the years to come.

Haines is set to attend UW-Oshkosh in the fall, where he will continue his football career.

Haines used baseball as a way to continue to play sports with his friends and also stay in shape for football. He played first base for the Panthers this season.

The senior delivered some key hits for Oconto Falls this spring, when the team went 6-14 overall.

He doubled in the team’s 3-0 North Eastern Conference win over Freedom on May 5. Haines drove in three runs on two hits in the team’s 10-8 setback to Luxemburg-Casco on May 14.

In his final football season, he made the Northswoods Conference’s first team as an offensive and defensive lineman.
