4 WASP swimmers turn in strong showings at outdoor meet

The Wittenberg Area Swim Program sent four swimmers to the Fairfax Outdoor Meet on June 25 and 26 in Eau Claire and came away with a fifth-place finish out of 11 competing teams.

Swimmers competed outside in a 50-meter pool.

9-10 division

Kaydence Crick: second, 100 breaststroke (2:02.41); third, 100 backstroke (1:45) and 50 butterfly (55.69); fourth, 50 breaststroke (57.18); sixth, 50 backstroke (50.31); 12th, 50 freestyle (44.82).

Peyton Crick: second, 100 butterfly (2:11.54); fourth, 50 butterfly (1:04.3); fifth, 100 breaststroke (2:07.37); eighth, 50 backstroke (51.52); 11th, 50 freestyle (43.93); 12th, 50 breaststroke (1:01.09).

11-12 division

Brooklynn Beran: third, 100 backstroke (1:25.51); fifth, 50 freestyle (33.3); seventh, 50 breaststroke (45.69) and 100 freestyle (1:16.27); 13th, 50 butterfly (44.19).

Rylee Crick: third, 100 breaststroke (1:36.66); fifth, 50 butterfly (38.07) sixth, 100 freestyle (1:14.67) and 50 breaststroke (45.62); seventh, 50 backstroke (1:28.91) and 50 freestyle (33.46).

Relays

Brooklynn Beran, Kaydence Crick, Peyton Crick, Rylee Crick: fourth, girls 12-and-under 400 freestyle relay (6:08.92).
