A popular History Channel show will be making its way to Wisconsin in July.

The crew from American Pickers will be looking for large, private collections that they can pick through during the day.

“We are looking for different, unusual and unique items — Something that we have never seen before with an interesting story,” said American Pickers Associate Producer Maggie Kissinger.

American Pickers began in 2010, and the show follows the duo of Mike Wolfe and Frank Firtz in their search to find interesting and unique artifacts for their collections and stores.

The pickers only visit private collections and do not go to public places, like flea markets, museums, malls, stores, auctions or businesses.

The show has roots in the Midwest with a home base in Le Claire, Iowa. According to Kissinger, the Midwest is a spot that is always on the radar for the pickers.

“The show is originally from the Midwest and the pickers love coming back to visit their old backyard,” said Kissinger. “We are excited to find some rusty gold in Wisconsin again.”

In order to contact with the American Pickers about a possible collection, an email can be sent to AmericanPickers@cineflix.com or a call can be made to 855-653-7878. They also have a Facebook page at @GotAPick. They are asking for a name, a city and a state, contact information, a brief description and pictures of the collection.
