Bonduel, Gresham win in volleyball shutouts

Bonduel 3, Rosholt 0

Bonduel defeated Rosholt in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-14.

Audrey Weier led Bonduel with 18 kills and 11 digs. Juliana Jacobs chipped in eight kills on just 13 attempts. Josie Anvelink led in digs with 15. Paige Niquette had 25 assists, and Jayla Reinke had 10 assists, 10 digs, and 15 service points.

Pulaski soccer team keeps Sheboygan South out of the net

The Red Raiders blanked the Redwings 3-0 in Fox River Classic Conference play.

Donovan Holderness opened the scoring for Pulaski (10-3-2, 2-3) with a goal in the 12th minute. Hudson Schultz assisted on the score. Maddox McKeefry doubled the lead with a goal three minutes later. Josh Aranda was credited with the assist.

McKeefry grabbed his second goal of the game in the 58th minute to make the final margin 3-0.

Wondra sets new cross-country school record at Rosholt Invite

Bonduel’s Mariah Wondra won the girls race at the Rosholt Invite and in the process broke the Bears school record with a time of 19:08.95. This currently ranks her in the top 10 at state.

Joining Wondra in earning medals were Teagan Engel in 20:41.1, Hailey Berg in 21:52.13, Cierra Schnell in 23:09.54 and Kember Frome in 23:37.98.

Rounding out the team were Seidy Blandon, Taylor Rank and Madalyn Sokolski.

The Wittenberg-Birnamwood girls placed first with three runners in the top six.

Pulaski's Melzer advances in golf sectional

Division 1 De Pere Regional

Pulaski golfers placed fifth with a 423 and Shawano was eighth with a 446 at Ledgeview Golf Course in De Pere.

Bay Port won the regional round with a 359 and, along with De Pere and Green Bay Preble Co-op, will advance to sectional action.

Grace Melzer, of Pulaski, will advance as an individual qualifier, as she led the Red Raiders with a 103 in 17th place. Taylor Murphy scored a 105, Charlie Lasecki had a 106 and Morgan Schuh had a 109.

Ella Trewartha scored a 120.

The Red Raiders blanked Sheboygan South with every match lasting only two sets, including two that were 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Anna Krause, at No. 4 singles, shut out her opponent, as did the No. 3 duo of Hailey Jansen and Gretchen Rottier.

In the top three singles matches, winners were Ruth Krause 6-0, 6-1, Aubrie Schluessler 6-0, 6-3 and Isabella Skalecki 6-3, 6-0.

Pulaski tennis team loses to Bay Port

Pulaski’s No. 3 singles player Isabella Skalecki collected the only win for the Red Raiders in a 6-1 loss to Bay Port. Skalecki defeated Lilly Jensen in three sets 4-6, 6-1, 10-6.

Anna Krause, at No. 4 singles, lost in three sets 6-4, 0-6, 10-6. The No. 2 doubles team of Ayla Groteluschen and Linde Lemerond also lost in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 10-3.

At No. 3 doubles, Hailey Jansen and Gretchen Rottier lost in a pair of very close sets 7-5, 7-6 (5).

Waupoose wins Oconto Invite

Oconto Invitational

Menominee Nation’s Bryant Waupoose III won the Oconto Invitational boys race in 17:52.9, with teammate Ryan Corn just seven seconds behind him with a second-place time of 17:59.9.

Another teammate, Jason Chapman, placed 10th in 18:57.2. Francis Delabrue finished in 19th place in 19:39.1.

Quinn Olson was 26th, and Michael Peters was 27th, separated by 0.4 seconds. Cashius Reevis placed 29th, Cody Peters was 63rd and Louis Kakkak placed 66th.

Panthers advance to golf sectionals

Division 2 Luxemburg-Casco Regional

Oconto Falls golfers placed third and Bonduel was fifth at Northbrook Golf & Grill in Luxemburg.

The Seymour team won with a 387. The Panthers scored 419, and the Bears tallied 452. Oconto Falls will advance to sectional play as a team.

Scoring for Oconto Falls were Taylor Miller with a 95, Olivia Wagner with a 96, Ava Salscheider with a 105 and Kylie Thompson with a 123.

Addy Kluth scored a 124.
