Navarino 10

Marinette 0

Navarino used a seven-run second inning to cruise to a win over Marinette on June 24 in Marinette.

Kyle Finger tallied three hits and two RBIs while scoring two runs to lead Navarino offensively. Wyatt Erb also drove in two runs, while Matt Krause had two hits and two runs scored.

Krause also earned the win on the mound after allowing just three hits and two walks over eight innings. Tyler Rosin worked a scoreless ninth, striking out three batters to seal up the win.

Bonduel 9

Shawano 7

Bonduel hung on late for a win over Shawano on June 20 in Bonduel.

The hosts scored five runs in the third inning, three in the fifth and one in the sixth. Shawano scored once in the first before three-run fifth and ninth innings.

Barrett Bohm homered, drove in three runs and scored twice for Bonduel, while Matt Scheelk homered, drove in two runs and scored twice. Wyatt Reinke earned the win after pitching three scoreless innings. Chase Reinke and Jack Reinke also pitched for the Broncos.

Hofa Park 8

Cecil 6

Hofa Park held off a late rally by Cecil to claim a June 13 matchup in Cecil.

Bob Tilot led Hofa Park at the plate with two hits and four RBIs.

Rob Scheuttpelz earned the win after striking out six batters over eight innings. Mike Delgado picked up the save after getting the final two outs of the contest.

Bonduel 27

Cecil 4

Bonduel dominated Cecil in a June 6 clash in Bonduel. The hosts had 32 hits and led 22-1 after two innings.

Barrett Bohm hit two home runs, while Adam Frost and Matt Scheelk each hit one homer for Bonduel. Bohm and Frost drove in five runs each, while Scheelk and Luke Kostreva had four RBIs each. Chase Reinke, J.C. Reinke and Parker Dorn scored three times each.

Hofa Park 4

Bonduel moved to 2-0 on the young season after taking down Hofa Park on May 23 in Hofa Park.

Chase Reinke earned the win on the mound for Bonduel, striking out 10 batters along the way. Jack Reinke came on in relief and got the save.

Jack Reinke, Luke Kostreva and Adam Frost all had three hits for Bonduel. Frost homered and drove in a pair.

Marcus Hornacek, Bob Tilot, Carson Williquette and Will Sullivan all had two hits for Hofa Park, which slipped to 0-2 overall. Tilot also drove in a pair.

Navarino 9

Cecil 1

Navarino opened league play with a win over Cecil on May 16 in Navarino.

Travis Wollenberg had three hits, walked twice and scored three runs for Navarino. Mason Dingeldein and Matt Krause each added two hits, with Krause also driving in two runs and scoring twice.

Paul Sellner earned the win after pitching eight innings, inducing four double plays on the day. Tyler Rosin tossed the ninth inning.

Navarino 10

Hofa Park 0 (7 inn.)

Navarino rolled to a season-opening win over Hofa Park on May 9 in Hofa Park.

Ryan Boettcher and Mike Dingeldein each homered for Navarino, with Dingeldein also driving in two runs. Boettcher, Paul Sellner and Mason Dingeldein all scored twice.

Boettcher earned the win after striking out nine batters over seven scoreless innings.

Waupaca tops Shawano in Dairyland League Grand Championship

The Waupaca Lakemen rolled to an 8-0 win over the Shawano Lobos in the 2020 Dairyland League Grand Championship on Sunday in Waupaca.

Starting pitcher Cam Seidl led Waupaca to victory, tossing eight strong innings. He struck out 10 batters while surrendering just four hits and two walks.

Jim Nighbor sealed up the win for the Lakemen by tossing a scoreless ninth inning.

Shawano, Waupaca advance to Dairyland League Grand Championship

The Shawano Lobos and Waupaca Lakemen emerged victorious in semifinal playoff matchups to earn spots in the Dairyland League Grand Championship.

Shawano 5, Nichols 4

The seventh-seeded Shawano Lobos pulled another upset Sunday, taking down the fifth-seeded Nichols Nitros in Nichols.

Ryan Coffey and Bryce Szymanski each had two hits for the Lobos in the win, with Coffey also driving in a run. Drew Radies doubled and drove in a run.

The highly anticipated Dairyland League playoffs got started Sunday, with three upsets highlighting the action. Hofa Park, Shawano, Waupaca and Nichols earned wins and kept their seasons alive.

Hofa Park 5, Hortonville 3

The eighth-seeded Hofa Park Panthers rallied for a win over the top-seeded Hortonville Stars in Hortonville.
