Swedberg battles through adversity on way to Late Model win

Johnny Whitman, Zackery Raab, Brett Swedberg, Mike Mullen and Brad Wedde all earned feature wins during Hall of Fame Night at Shawano Speedway on June 18.

Whitman won the IMCA Modified race after taking first in one of the heat races earlier in the night.

Mullen took second, while Lucas Lamberies, Brekken Kleinschmidt and Marcus Yarie rounded out the top five. Lamberies moved up eight spots from his starting position for the strong finish.

Raab claimed first in the IMCA Sport Mod feature after also taking first in a heat race earlier in the night.

Swedberg and Teske win back-to-back features

Lucas Lamberies, Jeffery Teske, Brett Swedberg, Trent Nolan and Brad Wedde earned feature wins during racing action May 21 at Shawano Speedway.

The IMCA Modifieds rolled on to the track with Kevin Feck and Jerry Muenster on the front row. Feck, coming off a strong run in his heat race, and Muenster, celebrating his 81st birthday, both looked to secure their first feature win in 2022.

A picture-perfect night for racing brought a large crowd to the Legendary Half Mile at Shawano Speedway. With added money in the IMCA Modified division, it was sure to be a big night of racing.

Jayden Schmidt, Eric “Chummy” Arneson, Johnny Whitman, Gunner Frank and Brad Wedde had the biggest of nights with feature wins in their respective divisions.

The IMCA Sport Mods got the show rolling with Jason Jach trying to find a groove after a rough early start to the season. Jach grabbed the early advantage despite multiple cautions in the early going.

Nick Anvelink is king in speedway’s opener

After a tumultuous 2020, the thunder returned to the Legendary Half Mile with the Dirt Kings traveling series joining the Late Model field April 17. Another welcomed sight was a nearly packed grandstand as fans were eager to return to some normalcy. With 111 cars checking in, the night was sure to be action packed at Shawano Speedway.
