The Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from the community for the next Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year.
Every year, the chamber recognizes exceptional businesses and individuals who have contributed to the community’s overall quality of life in a very positive way. The award recipients will be announced at the chamber’s annual awards celebration on Jan. 27, 2022.
All businesses in Shawano Country (Shawano and Menominee counties) that have been operating for two or more years are eligible to be nominated (self-nominations are encouraged) for the 2021 Business of the Year awards. Criteria that are considered by the award selection committee include community involvement, company growth, job creation/retention, facility improvement/expansion and commitment to employees.
All residents in Shawano or Menominee counties are eligible to be nominated for the 2021 Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award. Criteria that are considered by the committee include demonstrated leadership, community service, and economic and business development.
