Abortion stance is reason Democrats performed poorly

To the editor, I feel that I should respond to Peter Cameron’s article from Nov 22. I feel that the reason that the Democrats did so poorly is because they were on the wrong side of the abortion issue. Almost all Lutherans and Catholics, as well as many atheists and nones, feel that abortions should be outlawed or at least restricted. Some of the ads Democrats ran made you think that they wanted abortion to be allowed for any reason or or no reason at all, at any time during a pregnancy. No matter what these voters thought about the other issues, they felt they couldn’t vote for that. Dale Wagner, Krakow
