New lights were installed on the Wittenberg softball diamond on Chippewa Street.
A device resembling a pipe bomb was discovered on the steps of the offices of the Tigerton Lumber Company about 7 a.m. Thursday. The downtown area of Tigerton was evacuated, and the 88th Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit from Fort McCoy arrived to detonate the bomb. The bomb was determined to be a hoax.
