Willard E. Pieper

Willard E. Pieper, 78, of Shawano, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020. Willard was born July 4, 1941, in Shawano to the late Adolph and Anna (Hess) Pieper. He graduated from Gresham High School in 1959. Willard was united in marriage to LaVonne Hoppe in Gresham on Feb. 16, 1963. He was a machine operator for Twig’s Beverage. Willard loved hunting, fishing and bowling. He was a member of St. Paul’s Church-Stony Hill.

Willard is survived by his wife of 57 years, LaVonne; children, Fay (Mike) Gloede, of Clintonville, Carol (Harry) Olson, of Janesville, and Bryan (Connie Nelson) Pieper, of Janesville; seven grandchildren, Steven, Tara, Tyler, Taylor, Amanda, Kimberly and Samantha; great-granddaughter, Brittney; and daughter-in-law, Ann Pieper. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Anna.

Private family services were held for Willard. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
