Wayne Moeller

Wayne L. Moeller, 78, of Navarino, passed away on Oct. 12, 2020, in Shawano. Wayne was born in Green Bay on April 28, 1942, son of the late Louis and Alice (Rudie) Moeller. After graduating from Bonduel High School in 1960, Wayne enlisted in the United States Army serving from 1960-1963 in the 101st airborne, completing 28 jumps, give or take a couple. On Aug. 15, 1964, Wayne married Joy Nitzske at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. He worked for a time at 4WD in Clintonville before he decided to farm full time. In his free time, he enjoyed picking blackberries and spending time outdoors. Wayne was a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joy; his children, Jill (Lee) Deruyter, of Shawano, and Wayne (Lorie) Moeller, of Bonduel; grandchildren, Racine (Jesse Richter) Pedersen, Cameron (Alexis Clift) Pedersen and Amanda (Josh Krull) Richter; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Lukan and Jaxson; siblings, Lyle Moeller, Keith (Sandy) Moeller, Gary (Nancy) Moeller, Ruth Schinke, Eva (Tom) Gruenewald and Jean “George” (Dennis) Diemel; sister-in-law, Dorothy Curtiss; and brother-in-law Francis (Ioline) Nitzske. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Pedersen; grandson-in-law, David Richter; his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Herbert Nitzske; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Karen Moeller, Ben Shinke and Don Curtiss; niece, Tina Moeller; and nephew, Kevin Nitzske.

A funeral for Wayne will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. Ben Williams officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Bonduel American Legion. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Cicero. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
