Luxemburg-Casco 3

Oconto Falls 0

Oconto Falls was swept by top-seeded Luxemburg-Casco in a Division 2 regional semifinal in Luxemburg on Thursday. Lux-Casco won by scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-14.

The eighth-seeded Panthers hung with the Spartans in the early going of each set, but the hosts put together several runs to pull away.

Natalie Brauer, Kari Albrecht, Jayden Arndt and Amelia Rice were Oconto Falls’ top attackers, while Samantha Coron and Hailey Peitersen set them up.

Luxemburg-Casco will host fourth-seeded Freedom in a regional final on Saturday.

Bowler 3

Gillett 2

Third-seeded Gillett came up just short in a Division 4 regional semifinal match against second-seeded Bowler on Thursday.

Bowler won by scores of 21-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-9 and will travel to take on top-seeded Gresham in a regional final on Saturday.

Grace Wickman led Gillett with 15 total kills, while Karissa Schaal had 24 digs, eight attack kills and four aces. Sophie Horsens finished with 19 digs, 16 assists, seven aces and five attack kills.

Gillett’s Emelie Horsens tallied five attack kills, while Aubrey DeBauch had six digs and five attack kills. Annie Kohls contributed 18 digs, Emily Umentum posted seven assists and five digs, KayLee Huebner added five assists and Naomi Anker had nine digs.

Gresham 3

Suring 0

Fifth-seeded Suring was swept by Gresham in a Division 4 regional semifinal in Gresham on Thursday.

Gresham won by scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-21.
