Tigerton 32

Lena eased to a nonconference victory over Tigerton on Jan. 9 in Lena.

Chaela Rabas hit seven 3-pointers and six free throws to score 27 points for Lena.

Natalie McNurlen and Kennedy Marquardt each added seven points for Lena, which led 22-9 at halftime.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Tigerton 38

Lena earned a nonconference win over Tigerton on Jan. 9 in Lena. The Wildcats led 36-12 at halftime.

Max Beyer led Lena on offense with 24 points after hitting eight field goals and five free throws.

Sidney Sylvester added nine points for the Wildcats, while Mason Simonson had eight. Logan Shallow contributed seven points.

Gillett 42

Gillett lost a nonconference matchup to Wabeno-Laona on Jan. 9 in Laona.

Ben Matczak hit five 3-pointers and tallied 17 points for Gillett. Austin VandeCorput chipped in seven points.
