GIRLS BASKETBALL

Gillett 50

Crivitz 44

Gillett picked up a big Marinette & Oconto Conference victory over Crivitz on Thursday in Gillett.

Aubrey DeBauch and Karissa Schaal scored 14 points each to lead Gillett on offense. Camryn Long chipped in six points.

The Tigers outscored the Wolverines 34-26 in the second half to overcome a two-point halftime deficit.

Coleman 58

Lena 28

Lena couldn’t keep pace with Coleman in a M&O Conference clash Thursday in Lena.

Kennedy Marquardt and Chaela Rabas scored nine points each for Lena. Rabas’ points came on three 3-pointers.

Oneida Nation 49

Suring 38

Suring couldn’t overcome a 16-point halftime deficit in a M&O loss to Oneida Nation on Thursday in Oneida.

Kylee Stelzer tallied 13 points and eight rebounds to lead Suring on the court, while Paige Krueger had nine points, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks. Stephanie Huth chipped in seven points and seven rebounds, while Kate Mahoney had six points.

“We had a bit of a rough start, which put us behind early. I was very pleased as to how we adjusted and battled with Oneida throughout the second half,” said Suring coach Mitch Woulf. “Running an entirely different offense and defense this year, the buy-in from the girls has been great. We continue to get better each and every day.”

BOYS BASKETBALL

Oconto Falls 63

Waupaca 49

Oconto Falls outscored Waupaca by 14 points and pulled away for a North Eastern Conference win Thursday in Waupaca.

Mitchell Manns led Oconto Falls with 17 points; Braden Uelmen tallied 14. Joey Walters provided 11 points, and Isaac Raddatz had nine.

Uelmen powered the Panthers in the first half, scoring 12 of his points. Manns scored 12 points in the second half, while Walters had eight.
