GIRLS BASKETBALL

Gillett 64

Lena 29

Gillett eased to a Marinette & Oconto Conference win over Lena on Dec. 18 in Lena.

Aubrey DeBauch and Karissa Schaal led Gillett on the offensive end, scoring 17 and 13 points, respectively. Carleigh Kaczmarek tallied nine points, while Ryann Wagner had eight and Lizzy Soper seven.

Natalie McNurlen hit three 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 14 points for Lena. Whitney Potter added six points.

Gillett led 41-11 at halftime.

Suring 65

Wausaukee 27

Suring rolled to a M&O victory over Wausaukee on Dec. 18 in Suring.

Paige Krueger led a balanced Suring attack with 20 points. Kylee Stelzer added 18 points, while Christine Sleeter had 15.

Sleeter also had 10 rebounds, five steals and three assists. Krueger tallied 10 steals, six boards and two blocks.

Kelsey Smith had five steals for the Eagles, while Kate Mahoney contributed four assists and two blocks.
