Suring 40, Sevastopol 22
Logan Stuart carried Suring to a memorable MONLPC-8 victory over Sevastopol on Friday in Suring.
Stuart rushed for 341 yards and five touchdowns to help Suring win its 8-player debut game. The Eagles were an 11-man team last season. Sevastopol was also the reigning 8-man champions.
“The reason we had such a monster game is because we all gave 100% throughout the game and everyone did their part,” said Stuart. “We knew we were the underdogs in this game but we used that for motivation. I have to give credit to Sevastopol though because they are a really good team. Our blocking was tremendous and our defense stepped up when we needed them to.”
Jayden Geniesse rushed for Suring’s other touchdown, and also intercepted a pass.
