Susan M. Patrikus
Susan “Sue” M. Patrikus, 71, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at the Bellin Hospital in Green Bay following complications from aneurysm surgery in March 2023.
Susan Margaret Schuettpelz was born in Oconto County on Nov. 9, 1952, to the late Henry and Irene (Holl) Schuettpelz. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1971. After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she lived with family and served as a live-in housekeeper taking care of children. For over 45 years, Sue was the office manager and secretary for several businesses in Shawano, including the Shawano County Department of Community Programs and Montour Heating and Air Conditioning.
She married Jerry Patrikus on July 26, 1986, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville. After retirement, Sue traveled with her husband and family, checking off her bucket list. They visited places like Alaska, Europe, Hawaii, and most recently to the Biltmore House in Ashville, North Carolina.
Sue is survived by her husband, Jerry; siblings and in-laws, Ken and Rachel DeCoster, Jean Frost, Wayne and Bev Harbath, Jerome and Verna Schuettpelz, Ken and Mary Ladwig, Curt Schuettpelz, Neil and Sheila Zastrow, Rochelle Netzel, Loren Schuettpelz, Len and Gail Heling, Paul and Joanne Schuettpelz, Jeff and Terri Schuettpelz, and Lew and Tammy Schuettpelz; 31 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; cousins; and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Irene Schuettpelz; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Selma Patrikus; a brother, LuAllen Schuettpelz; a sister, Kristi Schuettpelz; a brother-in-law, Mike Netzel; a sister-in-law, Ruth Schuettpelz; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sue’s funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, 299 S. Main St., Clintonville, with the Rev. Timothy Shillcox, O. Praem, officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Rose Cemetery in Clintonville in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, Sue’s family prefers memorials be made to the local Lions Club of your choice.
