Six area athletes named to all-star basketball game

Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Games to feature state’s top players

The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association will hold its 2024 All-Star Games later this month at JustAGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

Two area boys and four girls are among those students chosen to participate.

The Girls All-Star Games will be held June 26, while the Boys All-Star Games will be held June 27.

Gillett’s Aydin Franti and Ben Matczak are on the boys roster. For the girls, local athletes Kathryn Raddatz of Oconto Falls, Ella Hischke of Bonduel, Hailey Zernicke of Bonduel and Madolyn Haffner of Gresham were chosen.

Both the boys and girls games will feature additional entertainment options for the whole family. Wisconsin Association of Cheer & Pom Squads (WACPC) dance teams made up of high school students from across the state will perform at halftime of several of the events. The Milwaukee Bucks Rim Rockers will performance between the Division 4 and Division 3 games each day.

New this year, a 3-Point Contest will be held each day between the Division 3 and Division 2 games.
