Shawano shut out by Xavier

Denmark got revenge on Oconto Falls from the previous day’s loss to win 1-0.

Jack Adler was the best Panthers' hitter on the day, going 2-for-3 with a double.

Denmark’s Braedyn Heezen was 1-for-3 and was walked with the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Cole Bozile was the losing pitcher, working the last 2/3 of an inning, giving up three walks and one run.

Carter Heroux started for the Panthers, pitched five innings, gave up five hits, struck out eight and walked three.

Bonduel scored in the bottom of the first inning and that proved to be enough for a 1-0 shutout of Shiocton.

Cade Johnson and Colin Margelofsky singled to start the game. Easton Reinke then walked, and Noah Weier hit a sacrifice fly to score Johnson.

Brodie Hartmann had the other hit for Bonduel.

Johnson and James Mutchie from Shiocton were engaged in a pitchers’ duel right from the start, and both pitched strong complete games.
After the first inning, Mutchie only allowed three baserunners.

Johnson was sharp from the start but got into trouble in the sixth. After loading the bases with nobody out, the Bears defense stepped up and got three ground ball outs to get out of the inning.

Northland Lutheran 4, Gresham 3

Tied at 3-3 after five innings, Northland Lutheran scored a run in the bottom of the seventh for the 4-3 win.

Oconto Falls 7, Denmark 1

Wyatt Laughrin hit 1-for-4, but it was a home run that helped Oconto Falls beat Denmark 7-1.

Chase Carriveau hit 1-for-3 with three RBIs, and Carter Heroux also hit 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Cole Bozile hit 2-for-4, and Jack Adler hit 2-for-4 with one run scored.

Jack Adler was the winning pitcher, working 4 2/3 innings, giving up two hits, striking out 11 and walking four.

Xavier 5, Shawano 0

Shawano was shut out 5-0 by Xavier in a Bay Conference game.

Pete Bruette took the loss on the mound.

Shawano only had two hits, a double by Warner Beyer and a base hit by Anderson Schmidt.
