Shawano duo wins first match at state

Shawano’s doubles team of George Buerman and Tristan Sheldon won their opening round match of the WIAA state tennis meet at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the UW-Madison campus.

The duo defeated Sun Prairie United’s team of Quinton Maddox and Mouneeth Venigalla 6-2, 6-2.

Buerman and Sheldon will face off against Plymouth’s Owen Plate and Jaren Baltus in the second round on May 31.
