Pulaski tennis downs De Pere, Preble

The Pulaski girls tennis team defeated the De Pere Redbirds by a 4-3 score on Sept. 12.

Pulaski’s Ruth Krause defeated De Pere’s Sophie Sonnenburg by scores of 6-2 and 6-2. Pulaski’s Isabella Skalecki was defeated by De Pere’s Sophia Titus by scores of 6-1, 3-6 and 8-10. Pulaski’s Alya Groteluschen also went to three sets, but she was defeated by De Pere’s Avanti Bhosekar by scores of 6-4, 4-6 and 6-10. Pulaski’s Addison Heezan was the only one to win her singles match in three sets though, defeating De Pere’s Samantha Hettman by scores of 6-1, 1-6 and 10-5.

In doubles, De Pere’s Ana Cristescu and Lillyanna Grad defeated Pulaski’s Sarah Johnson and Josie Steeno, by scores of 6-1 and 6-0. Pulaski was able to take home the other two doubles matches, with Hailey Jansen and Aubrie Schluessler defeating Emma Crowell and Annie Kraszewski and Alyssa Eggert and Linde Lemerond defeating Amara Lautenschlager and Grace Marquis, by scores of 1-6, 6-3, 11-9 and 6-4 and 6-3, respectfully.

Pulaski vs. Green Bay Preble

The Pulaski girls tennis team defeated Green Bay Preble 7-0 in the schools’ meeting on Sept. 14. Pulaski’s Ruth Krause defeated Preble’s Kiana Nguyen by scores of 6-1 and 6-1. Pulaski’s Isabella Skalecki defeated Preble’s Sophia Renier by scores of 6-0 and 6-0. Pulaski’s Alya Groteluschen defeated Preble’s Lana Vang by scores of 6-2 and 6-2. Pulaski’s Addison Heezen defeated Preble’s Erin Krueger by scores of 6-0 and 6-0.

As for doubles, Pulaski’s Sarah Johnson and Josie Steeno defeated Preble’s Tessa Peters and Paige DeBlaey by scores of 7-6 (1) and 6-3. Pulaski’s Hailey Jansen and Aubrie Schluessler defeated Preble’s Lyliane Ho and Adrianna Schoenebeck, by scores of 6-2 and 6-2. Finally, Pulaski’s Alyssa Eggert and Linde Lemerond defeated Preble’s Ayla Rozz and Isabella Garcia by scores of 6-2 and 6-2.
