Packers roster moves (week 9)

The Green Bay Packers placed RB AJ Dillon on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The transaction was announced Monday by Brian Gutekunst, the team's general manager.

Per agreed-upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to roster status. Being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list is for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

The Packers signed TE Dax Raymond to the practice squad and released TE Nakia Griffin-Stewart from the practice squad.

Raymond (6-foot-5, 246 pounds) is a first-year player of Utah State that originally signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2019. He spent part of his rookie season on the Bears’ practice squad and was released by Chicago this past spring. Raymond spent this past training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He appeared in 32 games (22 starts) at Utah State, catching 72 passes for 873 yards (12.1 avg.) and three touchdowns. In 2018, Raymond earned third-team All-Mountain West honors from Phil Steele's College Football and honorable mention all-conference recognition from the league's coaches. He will wear No. 80 for the Packers.

Packers make gameday moves

The Packers elevated S Henry Black, CB Stanford Samuels and RB Dexter Williams from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday as COVID-19 replacements, and elevated G Ben Braden from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday.
