The Oconto Falls City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing Nov. 30 on a $2.9 million budget for 2022.

The hearing is set for 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 500 N. Chestnut Ave., Oconto Falls. The council plans a special meeting after the hearing for a vote on approving the budget.

City officials have been working for several weeks, which represents a 4.4% increase over 2021. The proposed property tax levy of $1.466 million is a 5.5% increase; the mill rate estimating the cost for individual taxpayers will be determined at the Nov. 30 meetings.

The budget is available for inspection at the city website, www.cityofocontofalls.com, with printed copies at City Hall, Oconto Falls Community Library, the U.S. Post Office in Oconto Falls, and Iverson’s Piggly Wiggly.
